is a wholistic person-centered organization that seeks to promote overall wellbeing by providing professional services, including but not limited to psychotherapy, group counseling, social and financial education, etc. for the sole purpose of elevating lives to fulfill ones best life possible.

Accomplishments & Recognitions

Dr. Kathy Barton-Brown, MSW, LMSW, ACSW, PhD

is a distinguished Psychotherapist with a remarkable career spanning over 40 years in the mental health field. Her unwavering passion lies in empowering African Americans to confront and heal from trauma, childhood issues, and personal emotional pain.

Education and Early Career:

University of Michigan: Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice (1985).
Wayne State University: Master’s degree in Social Work, specializing in Administration and Mental Health (1993).
United Graduate Seminary: PhD in Humanities (2017).

Publications and Collaboration:

Co-author with Dr. Ruben West in “Live Your Best Life: The Time is Now” (2017).
Co-author with Dr. Juma Nelson in “Trained to Triumph!” (2022).
Upcoming release: “Lord, Teach Me to Be a Wife!”, a spiritual instructional manual for healing and addressing generational marital issues.

Regular guest on the local Gospel radio station, WFLT African American Inspiration, for 18 years.
Host of the international radio show (FBLive), “Conversations about Love, Life and Relationships.”
Over 47 years in radio broadcasting, focusing on reversing dysfunctional relationship patterns.

Academic and Professional Contributions:

Adjunct Professor at Baker College, guiding students to discover their divine purpose.
Facilitator of numerous mental health workshops in the U.S. and Nairobi, Kenya.

Most Treasured Accomplishment:

Mother of two young adult women, Karina and Kayla, who are poised to make a significant impact in the world.
